Last weekend I had the honor of being featured for a three day educational experience for  the web based organization www.creativelive.com.  For three days I photographed and taught techniques in posing and lighting couples, boudoir images, and the plus sized client.  A few of the tips I gave are as follows:

1.  Make the direction of light your priority.  Light and the opposite, the shadows are what give an image life and dimensionality.

2.  Turn the body about 45 degrees away from the light source to sculpt the body, and slim the figure.

3.  Expression is king.

4.  Use props in an unpredictable way.
